Garba Shehu to Punch Newspapers: It is not within your power to unilaterally, whimsically change Buhari's official title

Buhari

The National Chairman of We The People Nigeria Party,  Prof. Peter Nwagwu, has said that Nigeria’s problem is nothing but lack of good leadership that will pilot the affairs of the country.
Nwamgwu, a two-time Presidential Candidate of the party, noted in a statement in Zaria, Kaduna State, that there was nothing wrong with Nigeria as a nation but “victim of bad leadership.”
This was just as he said President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration had offered  nothing but inducing poverty among Nigerians within the last four years.
He noted that the consequences of the bad leadership as led by the All Progressives Congress administration of Buhari has produced a generation of corrupt, lawless Nigerians with bad behaviour as part of national culture.
He said  as an alternative to all political parties  that have failed the country,  his party  has mounted a project to offer Nigerians a platform to unite and take their country back after being mutilated by inept corrupt politicians.

“Unlike these parties, we are focused  and have a solid foundation that will carry our work eminently permanently,” he said.

According to the Chairman, in order to redeem  Nigerians from  the current mess, his party has established  an Non- Governmental-Organization christened: ‘People Grass root Association for corruption – free Nigeria.’

He then urged Nigerians to sit up to the challenges of bad governance and criticize policies that is inimical to betterment of grassroots populace.
Meanwhile, the Chairman has described as “unacceptable” the poverty level in the country that had reduced Nigeria to the ‘poverty capital of the world.’

He noted that the poverty level had forced Nigerians to  collect money and rice to vote against their conscience in the last elections.

“Some Nigerians sold their votes  as little as N500 in the 2019 general elections,” he said.

He added that it was difficult to stop desperate hungry poor Nigerians  from selling their votes, noting that “that is why we formed this party to set a new standard to clean up Nigerians and adopt a responsible political process that will be driven by selfless service to the grassroots”.
