The Leah Sharibu Foundation has urged the President-elect, Sen. Ahmed Tinubu, to make security, women and girl-child education priorities in his administration.

The President of the Foundation, Dr Gloria Puldu made the call in an interview with newsmen on Sunday in Jos.

Puldu, who called on the president-elect to ensure the speedy release of Leah Sharibu and other girls in captivity, said her organization has been calling on the government to ensure release of Leah in the last six years.

”Today is the 20th birthday anniversary of Leah Sharibu; she was abducted at 14, and six years later, she is still in captivity.

”As an organization and mothers, we are calling on the president-elect to ensure the timely release of Leah, chibok girls and all the girls and women who are still in captivity.

”We want him to priories the security, education, and freedom of girls and women, our girls should freely go to school under a well secured environment.

”We have so many school girls in captivity and our president-elect should ensure our schools are safe and Nigerians are safe to practice their religion by the time he is sworn-in,” she said.

Puldu urged President Muhammadu Buhari, to use his remaining days in office to secure the release of all those in captivity.

She also appealed to terrorists to free all the girls and women in their custody to enable them pursue their dreams in life without hindrance.
