The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has withdrawn its men from areas close to the Government House, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State and the road leading to the campaign office of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
As a result of the police vacation of the gates of the Government House, many people who kept trooping in on Thursday, said they were happy to identify with the governor.
The governor was seen later coming out to greet PDP loyalists who stormed the Government House to sympathise with him on the alleged attacks on his person on Wednesday by some security agents.
Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the governor, Idowu Adelusi, expressed happiness on the turn-out of thousands of people to greet the governor.
He declared that the PDP governorship candidate, Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka, would win Saturday’s election.
