The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Lawan Shiisu, said this in a statement in Dutse on Sunday.
Shiisu said that all arrangements had been made for a hitch-free inauguration/swearing in of the new administration in the state.

He said that the police would collaborate with sister security agencies and relevant stakeholders to ensure the successful conduct of the inauguration.

“Therefore, the command warns that non-state actors or any aggrieved persons or individuals who may plan to foment trouble are advised to desist, as the command will not hesitate to subdue confrontational or any act of disorderliness.

“The command is also advising good people of the state to turn out to the venue in an orderly manner and avoid carrying dangerous weapons or items that may trigger suspicion or apprehension. They should also avoid dangerous driving, over-loading, and over-speeding and observed traffic rules and regulations,” he said.

The PPRO quoted the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Emmanuel Ekot as reiterating that the safety and security of residents were of utmost priority to the police.
“In case of emergencies, residents can contact the command via 08075391069, 07033524987 and 08131992027,” he said.
