PDP to APC: You will be defeated in Osun 2018 guber election

The Chairman of the Osun State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Caretaker Committee, Chief Sarafa Ishola, has described the recent reaction of the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the ongoing reconciliation process in the PDP as an indication that the ruling party is jittery and smelling its imminent defeat in next year’s governorship election.
Ishola stated this in a statement issued ahead of the inauguration of the Local Government chapters of the PDP caretaker committees in the state.

According to the state caretaker chairman, the PDP is conscious of the fact that its victory in the last Senatorial by-election in Osun West Senatorial District was a result of concerted efforts by leaders and stakeholders who all agreed to work together in the interest of the oppressed and suffering masses of the state.
Ishola described the reactions of the APC spokesman as “an outburst of a drowning sailor who would ordinarily want to hold on to every flimsy straw with the hope of survival. There is, however, no hope for the APC surviving this coming electoral hurricane because the people of Osun State are ready to change this ineffectual government come 2018”

He described the stakeholders meeting of the party, which held last week, as a huge success in view of the attendance of top leaders of the party and their resolve to work together towards putting in place necessary party structures that will serve as a rallying point for all members in the 332 wards of the state.

While urging all members of the PDP in Osun State to sustain the current moves of reconciliation as well as mobilisation of new members across the state, the caretaker chairman promised that the committee will continue to be fair, just and transparent in its handling of the affairs of the party in line with the mandate given to it by the National Caretaker Committee.
Ishola reiterated the need for the party to quickly fix all outstanding leadership issues in order to face the task of salvaging Osun State from the misrule of the APC in line with the aspirations of workers, pensioners, market men and women and the generality of the people of Osun State.
