For their alleged role in the terror unleashed on residents of Oyo, Oyo State during New Year celebrations, six hoodlums were arraigned on Wednesday before a Chief Magistrate’s Court.
They are Sahed Raheem, Kamarudeen Salaudeen, Jimoh Fatai, Mojeed Mohammed, Adekunle Oyelowo and Ajeigbe Olasunkanmi.
They were arraigned on an 11-count charge bordering on public disorder, threats to lives and property and
destruction of properties, including vehicles.
The offences were allegedly committed at Adesina junction in Atiba Local Government, Oyo, Oyo State.
All the accused pleaded not guilty.
When their counsel, Adewale Omoloye, sought bail for them, the presiding Chief Magistrate, Olaide Hamzat, granted each of them a sum of N300,000 with two sureties.
Each of the sureties, the Chief Magistrate said, must
not only be relations to the accused but show clear evidence of gainful employment with two passport photographs.
The case was adjourned to February 10.
