The Director-General of the Nigerian Law School, Olanrewaju Adesola Onadeko, and 20 others, on Monday, made the list of lawyers elevated to the rank of senior advocates.
The Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Ahmed Gambo Saleh, Secretary of the Legal Practitioner and Privileges Committee, said the new SANs will be inaugurated on September 19, 2016.
The new Senior Advocates are Nnamonso Udo Ekanem, Prof. Mohammed Tabiu, Valerie Azinge, Olufunke Abimbola Agbor, Olusola Oladimeji Ojutalayo, Richard Ayodele Akintunde, Oyesoji Gboolahan Oyeleke, James Njeze Ikeyi, Elisha Yakubu Kura, Adewumi Adesanya, Olatubosun Olanipekun, Kalu Ikwuonwu Umeh, Adewale Sunday Adesokan, Andrew Igbokwe, Alexander Okoli, Abdulakeem Mustapha, Olaseni Adio, Olasheni Ibiwoye, Ekpezu Ukweni, Edward Pwajok and Chukwu Omara.
According to the Chief Registrar, 131 applied for the rank. Of the number, 55 were shortlisted and 22 got the approval of the committee to move to the Inner Bar.
