Mr Ade Omole, Director of Diaspora of the defunct APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), has implored  party’s members to be committed to its Renewed Hope agenda in the interest of Nigerians.

He gave the charge on Sunday in Abuja at a pre-inauguration dinner party he organized to appreciate Nigerians, especially those in the Diaspora, for their contributions to the party and the success of Sen. Bola Tinubu at the Feb. 25 polls.

“As much as our gathering here can be described as that of a precursory event leading to the celebration of our hard fought electoral victory for, and on behalf of the man who has become our country’s 16th democratically elected president.

“I hope we will also see the occasion as an opportunity to reflect on and prepare our minds for the tasks ahead” he said.

He reminded APC members as progressives, loyalists, believers and admirers of the party and Tinubu to remain committed to the Renewed Hope promise made to Nigerians during the campaigns.

Omole said the party’s members should reflect and prepare their minds for the tasks ahead and the renewed hope agenda and the progressive ideology.

He explained that the Renewed Hope appeared very ordinary when looked at on the surface, adding that the phrase did not betray anything and did not seem to hide anything other than its uplifting attribute.

“Yet, its ordinariness and innocence, not to talk of its ennobling essence, can be detrimental if not harmful to our collective political governance longevity as a party if we treat this simple phrase with levity.

“These two words pack a potent punch together or in isolation from each other to the point of possessing some supernatural, if not metaphysical power,” Omole noted.

He explained that when something was being renewed, it presupposes that whatever was being considered renewed was fading out before the word came to the rescue.

He said the term suggested that something was becoming obsolete or that the value it used to have had been seriously discounted,  if not eroded, adding that it denoted a new beginning and rejuvenation of a new life.

He said the APC Renewed Hope mantra could, therefore, be seen as akin to laying the foundation of a house and the deliberate determination of the amenities that must of necessity go into it after its completion to make it livable and enjoyable.

“The task before Tinubu and his Vice President-elect, Sen. Kashim Shettima, is, therefore, enormous if we take into account, which we must, the many government programs and policies that must be renewed for the hopes of the vast majority of Nigerians to be rekindled,” Omole said.

He said party members should keep supporting the Tinubu administration whether they got political appointment or not.

“We should work not in anticipation of a reward but with a zeal to move the country forward,” have said.

Omole attributed Tinubu’s victory at the polls to the contributions of Nigerians from all walks of life, saying it was a result of unprecedented love for him.

He said that this was in spite of the de-marketing and hate- induced strategies targeted at him from various quarters ahead of the Feb. 25 presidential poll.

“I, therefore, cannot but bring into reckoning the contributions of a massive majority of Nigerians in the Diaspora towards the election of Tinubu.

“This particular breed of Nigerians provided tremendous and unprecedented material, intellectual and moral support, not only for the overall campaign, but also for my directorate,” Omole said.

He expressed optimism that Nigerians in the Diaspora would continue to support the Tinubu administration.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that some of the attendees at the event described Omole as a team player, a goal-getter and a great achiever.

The highlight of the event was the launch of two books, “The Eyes of Renewed Hope“ and “The Lifter of Men: A Visionary Leader and Survival“.

At the event, Omole was presented an award by the Diaspora Youth Mobilization for his contributions to the APC, its Diaspora Chapters and the success of Tinubu at the polls.

While receiving the award, Omole said he was only the face of hard working APC Diaspora members, noting that their support and contributions were greatly appreciated.

Awards were also given to other deserving APC Diaspora members at the event which was attended by Dr Eniola Ajayi, Nigeria ‘s Ambassador to The Netherlands, Senators-elect and representatives of APC Diaspora Chapters, among others.
