A British-Nigerian songsmith and singer, Ola Onabule and two other African contemporary singers from South Africa and Sudan, whose rhythms,  percussions and thuds have delighted mankind are guests on this week’s edition of the Glo-sponsored CNN African Voices.
Announcing the trio in Lagos on Thursday, Globacom said that the Johannesburg, South Africa, based free band, Bombshelter Beast, which has the sole aim of producing “music to make feet dance and heart happy” will be the first guest on the 30-minute programme which airs first  on the Cable News Network on Friday at 9.30 a.m.
The Bombshelter Beast group, which was  established in the year 2015, is made up of colourful, brilliant and innovative artistes who perform a mixed-grill of musical styles dubbed “Afrobalkan Skadubhall”.
The second guest on the programme is the Sudanese’s female vocalist, Islam Elbeiti, who is based in the city of Khartoum and who has demonstrated uncanny brilliance in the music industry using an instrument traditionally played by men. She will be treating viewers to a taste of her mantra “inhale poetry and exhale the pain. Feel the bass and let it rain”, which is as  intriguing as it is interesting.
The last of the entertainment musketeers, Ola Onabule, is a highly prolific artiste with a career spanning two decades and has over eight albums to his credit. His first album, “More Soul Than Sense” was released in 1995 and he has since then featured at major international fora like the British Summer Jazz series and the Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy amongst many others.
Viewers can also watch a repeat broadcast of the Glo-sponsored CNN African Voices at 3.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. on Saturday and 11.30 a.m and 6.30 p.m. on Sunday. Further repeats will be broadcast at 10.30 a.m. on Monday and 4.30 a.m. on Tuesday.
