The former Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, will on Thursday be decorated as the Pillar of Sports in Osun state by the Association of Student Communicator of the Department of Mass Communication, the Polytechnic, Ibadan.
ASCOM said the honour on Ogunjobi who is also the Chairman of Prime FC of Oshogbo, is to appreciate him for his immense contributions to the empowerment of youths in the state and South-West in general through sports.
According to the President of the Association, Mudasiru Rilwan, they considered the former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Secretary General for his track records both as a player and administrator whose era as the Secretary General to the NFF witnessed appreciable successes.
“We are aware of the progress made so far by the state of Osun in football since he resumed office which saw a team from the state, Prime Football Club winning the bronze medal at 2012 Federations Cup otherwise known as Challenge Cup for the first time,” he said.
The award ceremony will come up inside the Main Campus, at Rotundal Hall.
