Bolton Wanderers have confirmed that Nigerian striker, Osaze Odemwingie, has resumed training with them even as the 35-year old gets set to officially seal a short term deal with the League One outfit.
Odemwingie, a free agent, has been without a club for close to six months but the former West Brom and Stoke City forward is keen to prove that he still has a lot to offer.
Odemwingie held talks with Bolton manager Phil Parkinson on Wednesday and underwent medical tests on Thursday night. It is understood that Odemwigie is ready to sign until January with the option to extend until the end of the season.
The Nigerian forward with two World Cup appearances with the Super Eagles has had a colourful career, boasting 38 Premier League goals.
Fans will hope Odemwingie can help solve the goal scoring problems of Bolton who though are third on the League One log have scored just 15 league goals, and only four clubs have netted fewer in the third tier.
