NSE moves 166.39m shares valued N1.66bn

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday moved 166.39 million shares worth N1.66 billion exchanged by investors in 2,917 deals.
This was in contrast with 202.72 million shares valued N1.48 billion transacted in 3,012 deals on Wednesday.
GT Bank drove the volume of shares traded, accounting for 26.07 million shares worth N468.03 million.
Access Bank followed with 24.28 million shares valued N111.90 million, while UBA sold 22.36 million shares valued N71.64 million.
Stanbic IBTC exchanged 16.93 million shares worth N254.03 million, while Zenith Bank traded 9.61 million valued N129.92 million.
Dangote Cement topped the gainers’ chart with a gain of N6.55 to close at N159.98 per share.

Okomu Oil came second with N1.52 to close at N33, while E-tranzact gained 15k to close at N3.19 per share.

Fidson Healthcare increased by 11k to close at N2.70, while Vono Product garnered 3k to close at 92k per share.

Consequently, the All-Share Index appreciated marginally by 85.40 points or 0.31 per cent to close at 27,266.18 compared with 27,180.78 posted on Wednesday, after dropping for three consecutive days.

Also, the market capitalisation which opened at N9.347 trillion rose by N30 billion to close at N9.377 trillion.

On the other hand, Seplat led the losers’ table, declining by N7.03 to close at N196.07 per share.

7UP trailed with a loss of N3.63 to close at N185.26, while Nigerian Breweries dipped N3 to close at N113 per share.

Zenith Bank depreciated by 46k to close at N13.40 and UBN dropped 32k to close at N6.24 per share.
