The Management of Kano Pillars FC has suspended the club’s Technical Adviser, Usman Abdallah, for three weeks due to the team’s poor performance.

This is contained in a statement signed by the chairman of the club, Ali Umar on Sunday in Kano.

Umar said Abdallah was also suspended over his conduct towards fans immediately after the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match day 22 goalless draw against Bayelsa United on Sunday.

”The management took the decision following Abdallah’s inappropriate gesture towards supporters at the Sani Abacha Stadium.

“He struggled to find consistency in recent matches, securing only one win in their last three outings.

“This dip in form has raised concerns in the management and supporters, who expect a high level of performance from the team,” the management said.

The management added that Chief Coach Ahmed Yaro-Yaro, will lead the team during Abdallah’s suspension, supported by assistant coaches Abubakar Musa, Gambo Muhammad, Suleiman Shuaibu, and Ayuba Musa.

The club reiterates its commitment to “maintaining professionalism and fostering a respectful relationship between the team and its passionate supporters.”

The management further added that Kano Pillars will shift their focus to their upcoming NPFL Match day 23 fixture against Remo Stars in Ikenne, Ogun where they aim to bounce back and restore supporter’s confidence.

Freedomonline reports that Abdallah in August 2024, signed a two-year contract with an option for a third with Kano pillars.
