Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) has appointed Sofia Horsfall as its General Manager, External Relations and Sustainable Development, succeeding Andy Odeh, effective November 1.

Odeh, the outgoing General Manager, External Relations of NLNG, disclosed this during an interactive session with newsmen in Lagos.

He expressed confidence in Horsfall’s capabilities, highlighting her extensive experience and fresh perspective for the position.

Odeh is set to retire after 26 years career in NLNG.

Horsfall, who also spoke, described her new role as an opportunity for reflection and growth, aimed at sustaining the strong relationships NLNG has fostered with its stakeholders.

She expressed her gratitude to Odeh for his dedication and leadership, which she credited with establishing a robust partnership between NLNG and the media.

“Andy, thank you for your unwavering dedication and invaluable contributions in amplifying our voice and vision,” she said.

Discussing NLNG’s rebranding initiative, Horsfall emphasised that the transformation extends beyond a new look.

“It embodies a commitment to a future powered by clean, accessible, and reliable energy.

“This is our purpose, and it resonates with the vision you have shared with the public in your reporting, shaping the perception and trust the world has in us,” she noted.

Horsfall also acknowledged the role of the media in sharing NLNG’s story over the years, expressing deep appreciation for their partnership.

“Today, as we proudly embrace our new identity under the banner ‘Inspiring a Sustainable Future’, we recognise the vital role each of you has played in telling our story over the past 25 years.

“From our earliest milestones to this transformative moment, your support and insights have been instrumental to our journey,” she said.

Horsfall emphasised her commitment to strengthening NLNG’s media relationship further.

“As I step into this role, I look forward to deepening the invaluable collaboration we have built.

“Together, we have the power to elevate NLNG’s influence and aspirations to new heights.

“Thank you for your warm welcome and steadfast support as we embark on this bold new chapter,” she said.
