The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has won the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) ‘Best Contributing Employer in Human Resources Development’ award for the 2022 service year.

This is contained in a statement by Mr Bashir Nuhu, the Director, Communication and Public Affairs Department, NDIC, in Abuja on Sunday.

Nuhu said the Director-General of ITF, Mr Joseph Ari, gave the award to the corporation.

Nuhu quoted Ari as saying that the award was conferred on the NDIC for being the most compliant with the ITF Act.

He said the compliance was through consistent and periodic remittance of the statutory one per cent of its total staff cost as stipulated by the ITF’s Act.

Ari appreciated the commitment of the NDIC saying that it was worthy of emulation by other government agencies.

Nuhu also quoted the Managing Director of the corporation, Mr Bello Hassan, as assuring of NDIC’s continuous collaboration with the ITF toward enhancing capacity for its workforce.
