This year’s World Telecommunications and Information Society Day (WTISD) has been celebrated by the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) in partnership with stakeholders.
With the slogan ‘Join the NCC in celebrating the 2022 World Telecommunications and Information Society Day’, the event was marked with fanfare at NCC’s corporate head office in Abuja.
It is an annual event that helps to create awareness about the benefits of telecommunications.
According to NCC,the objective of this year’s celebration, “Digital Technologies for Older Persons and Healthy Ageing”, is aimed at ensuring technology remains socially inclusive for the elderly and the ageing.
It is also aimed at ensuring that older people utilise digital technologies to maintain healthy and productive lives.
