Gunmen on Monday shot and killed Lawrence Agaie, the Saf Ron-Kuelere and paramount ruler of Bokkos in Plateau State.

Also killed were the traditional ruler’s police orderly, Inspector Sunday Wuyah, his wife, as well as his son, Shagari.

The monarch was returning to Bokkos, after visiting his farm in Sha District, when he was attacked.

Capt. Ikedichi Iweha, spokesman of the Special Task Force (STF) in charge of security in Plateau State, confirmed the incident, adding that the corpses had been deposited at an undisclosed hospital in Jos.

He also said that a woman who was shot, but did not die, had been taken to a hospital in Bokkos.

Iweha said that no arrests had been made.
