Methodist Church to honour Obasanjo, Alaafin, Ooni, others

The ancient town of Oyo will be agog on
Sunday when the Methodist Church Cathedral in the
community will be playing host to eminent Nigerians.
They include former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Owa Obokun Adimula, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran, Alaafin of Oyo, Oba
Olayiwola Adeyemi111, former Governor of Oyo State, Adebayo Alao-Akala and other distinguished citizens.
A statement on Friday by retired Archbishop Ayo Ladigbolu
stated that the ceremony, which is an Award of Excellence for the recipients, is in appreciation of their contributions to unity, peace and progress of the country.
It added that former Prelate of The Methodist Church, His Eminence, Sunday Ola Makinde, will be the
guest preacher at the occasion which commences at 10am.
