Big Brother Naija

Mercy Eke has become the winner of Big Brother Naija season four.

The ‘Queen of Highlights’ was crowned winner during the finale on Sunday.

This win makes Mercy the first woman to win the Big Brother Naija reality show since inception.

Popularly known as ‘Lamborghini’, Mercy was touted as the possible winner for the season by show fans and celebrities alike.

The light hearted diva made the top two with her show best friend, Mike Edwards, who emerged first runner up.

As winner, Mercy walked home with cash prize worth over N40 million, brand new Innosson SUV, Dubai trip for two and other prizes.
Meanwhile, Housemate, Mike Edwards, won N2 million cash prize as the ultimate arena games champion.

The housemate was awarded for being the most consistent winner of the Bet9ja-sponsored arena games.

The games, which are a mixture of chance and military style drills, test housemates’ physical and mental strengths, as well as their spirit of sportsmanship.

According to fans, Mike has shown the most sportsmanship as he drums support for other housemates during the games and applied himself to win.

The accomplished athlete and businessman was also known for staying true to himself and keeping out of trouble throughout his stay in the house.

Some fans have taken to social media to applaud his win, while others have argued that Omashola ought to win as he won the last games.

@Nellu said, “Wowww Mike!!! Congrats. I actually thought omashola will win it.”

@Anna tweeted, “The difference is a few seconds.”

@DuruObina said, “Unbelievable!, what happened. I thought Omashola should be the winner.”

@Chanty said, “I am really surprised. Omashola will die on this. Congratulations Mike for your consistency. 2 million captured #BBNaijia”

Seyi Awolowo won the ONE.org health advocacy challenge.

Seyi was awarded at the grand finale held on Sunday.
He would also join ONE at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

His prize was handed to him by Bisola Aiyeola, runner-up of BBnaija season two and ONE ambassador.
She was accompanied by fellow ambassador, Waje Iruobe and Sarah Amaka, Country Director.

In Season Two, Bisola’s campaign for girl-child education was the winning campaign for the season and she represented Nigeria at the UNGA.

For this season, The Pepper Dem Gang was tasked with creating awareness for standard health care in Nigeria.

To aid the preparation for the task, Country Director, Amaka, explained the importance of citizens participation in solving societal problems and urged them to think outside the box.

Seyi presented ideas that revolved around citizen participation, government support and proper aid to resolve the health care issues in Nigeria.

Host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, left fans stunned with the nine kg embellished tuxedo he wore for the BBnaija season four finale.

The perennial host, who is known for his classic dress sense, has been the fashion highlight of the season since it began on June 30.

Ebuka showed up to the premiere in a gold embellished, fitted tuxedo which he revealed weighed nine kg  via his twitter handle @ebuka.

He wrote, “Fun fact: This dazzling tuxedo actually weighs over nine kilogrammes.

“Tune in now let’s enjoy the #BBNaija finale together!!! Meanwhile, beard gone. Goatee is here!!!”

The Mai Atafo-designed tuxedo was paired with gold embellished shoes from 313 Eko , giving the host an edgy, classy look.

Fans have since taken to social media to hail the look, which they described as flashy enough for an anticipated finale.

@B_Sugar said, “It actually looks like it weighs a TON! Love it.”

@Aretackc wrote, “This guy has been the one doing the peppering since day 1 with his clothings, I only came to see what you wore, the housemates don’t bring the chilli.”

@Vivian wrote, “Ebuka kill us… If you don’t give us… How do we take???”

@Snazzy tweeted, “Ebuka your outfit , your blazers just got my neighbor’s son blind. Dope.”
