Man, 41, docked for allegedly stealing diesel, fish feeds

 A 41-year-old Seyi Habib, was on Thursday docked in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan for allegedly stealing diesel and bags of fish feed.

Habib, whose address was not provided, was charged with theft.

He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Prosecutor, Insp Opeyemi Olagunju told the court that the defendant allegedly committed the offence sometimes in 2023, at about 8:30 p.m, at Red Rocket Logistics Company, Toll-Gate area, Ibadan.

Olagunju said that the defendant stole 500 litres of diesel worth N475, 000 and seven bags of fish feed worth N64, 155.00, belonging to the aforementioned company.

The Prosecutor said the offence contravened Sections 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo, 2000.

The Magistrate, Mrs A. Oyediji granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200, 000 with one reliable surety in like sum.

She  adjourned the case until July 15, for hearing.
