Leicester Manager Ranieri receives glowing tributes in Italy

Leicester Manager, Claudio Ranieri, has received glowing tributes from the Italian Prime Minister and the media in his homeland after his team’s title win.
Ranieri claimed his maiden top-flight success as his side became champions of England for the first time in their 132-year history on Monday when nearest challengers, Tottenham were held 2-2 by Chelsea.
“It’s the greatest achievement in the history of English football, and it was led by an Italian,” Matteo Renzi, the Italian Premier wrote on social media.
The 64-year-old former Chelsea boss had earned a reputation as a journeyman in football, and before arriving at Leicester, Ranieri was fired by Greece as his short reign ended with a defeat at home to Faroe Islands.
“I always thought that sooner or later, I would win a league title,” Ranieri told Italian state TV Rai late Monday. “I’m the same man who was sent away by Greece.
“The only dedication I want to make to everyone is to tell them to believe and give things a try, not only in football but in every area of life.”
