The Lagos State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), on Friday hailed Chief Olabode George, for his unflinching support for the party as he celebrated 68th birthday anniversary.
George, a former PDP National Vice Chairman (South West), clocked 68 on Thursday.
In a statement in Lagos, the state Chairman of the PDP, Chief Tunji Shelle, described George as an exemplary politician whose leadership qualities were unrivalled.
Shelle said that George was philanthropic, cerebral and likable, adding that he had contributed much to the progress of the PDP.
“He is a dogged fighter, dependable leader and one full of rare dexterity.
“Sometimes, he is misunderstood, but, no doubt, he is a man of accomplished destiny,“ he said.
Shelle said that George earned respect and loyalty of many Nigerians as a junior naval officer.
“He was such a brilliant officer and served the navy very tirelessly. He has much energy and intellect to serve our nation.
George’s qualities have earned him the unreserved love of many. He is indeed a role model to many of us, “ he said.
