Ladoja: At 70, I’m fit to contest Oyo governorship

Former Oyo State governor and the Accord governorship candidate for the February 28 election in the Pacesetter State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, on Saturday told his critics to stop wasting their time over his age.
The 70-year-old politician said age “is not a barrier to giving Nigerians and Oyo people dividend of democracy”.
To him, if the All Progressives Congress (APC) can field 72-year-old General Muhammadu Buhari as its presidential candidate, then those criticising him for aspiring to be Oyo governor once again are on a wild goose chase.
He spoke at the flag-off of his campaign at the Durbar Stadium, Oyo, insisting: “What matters most is experience and quality of service to be rendered by an occupant of an office. Having been there before, I know what to do. You all saw what we did while we were in office and I can tell you that it can only be better this time around. I am sure of victory at the end of the day”.
He urged the electorate to vote out Governor Abiola Ajimobi because he has disappointed them.
