Labour Party (LP) candidate for Oji River state constituency, Osita Eze, on Saturday, won the re-run election in Central School Oji-River polling unit, which had 2,489 registered voters.
The result was declared inconclusive after the March 18 poll following the cancellation of the polling unit and the margin of lead was less than the number of PVCs collected in the polling unit.
The Labour Party candidate got one hundred and eight (108) votes while the PDP candidate polled one hundred and eighteen (118) votes. The PDP failed to write off the deficit of over 300 votes which the Labour Party was leading with after the March 18 poll.
With the victory, Labour Party has won 15 seats while PDP won nine seats at the state House of Assembly.
