Mr Jimi Agbaje, the former PDP gubernatorial candidate in Lagos State who clinched the ticket with virtually no support base save the overwhelming political clout of Chief Bode George, is now back at his own vomit.
Agbaje visited Governor Ayodele Fayose the other day to declare his intention to contest the position of the PDP National Chairman.
Yes, Agbaje the perennial turncoat who was vaulted into reckoning and political relevance by kind, good men and women who heeded their leader’s call, is now back on his rebellious campaign that will lead him nowhere just like his last gambit in Port Harcourt which left him greatly diminished and in total disgrace. Yes, this same eternal rebel called Agbaje is again flagging the hollow aspiration of PDP National Chairman.
What incredulity! What forlorn shamelessness. We are pretty sure Agbaje, who has never invested a kobo in his Apapa ward, knows that he is chasing a pipe dream. But what really interests us is the man’s sly, desperate and tomfoolery attitude.
He must really think that those who have invested their livelihood in the growth and development of the party are fools.
Agbaje does not stand a snow chance in hell to even come fifth in this Chairmanship race. He is just a frustrated and confused man kicking an empty can down the road.
We really do not know his mission. He has no home base. He has zero political clout in Lagos. He is unknown in his ward. He joined the party barely a year before 2015 election. He has no knowledge of the party. He has no administrative experience. And yet he wants to lead a vast complex organisation like the PDP. Haba! Not on your life.
Agbaje is really like a lost dog who is deaf to the hunter’s whistle.
