The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPoB), Nnamdi Kanu, has been released from custody.
He was released on Friday night from Kuje Prison, Abuja after almost two years in detention.
Kanu, who was brought to the Federal High Court in Abuja at 7pm, regained his freedom after fully perfecting his bail conditions
Kanu, who was accompanied by family members,  lawyers and sureties, signed his own portion on the bail paper to pave the way for his release.
While acknowledging cheers from family, friends and supporters, he took photographs with them.
The Biafran leader was driven away in a Mercedes Benz 4matic GL500 with registration number ABC 46 MU.
