Ikpeazu: No land for grazing reserves in South-East

Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu of Abia State, on Friday, warned that any plan to create grazing reserves for Fulani herdsmen in the South-East would be frustrated “because there are no sufficient land spaces in our zone for such reserves”.
To the governor who spoke at a radio programme, ‘People and Politics’ on Magic 102.9FM in Aba, “there are enough land spaces in the North. So, why create grazing reserves in the South-East”?
He said: “We don’t need grazing reserves in the South-East because we don’t have land space for that. There are enough land in the North, so let’s have grazing reserves there.”
Some of the callers during the live programme hailed the governor for his position on the matter.
