Ideye: I’m not under pressure to score

brown_ideyeSuper Eagles striker, Brown Ideye, has stated that he is not under any form of pressure to score goals for the Nigerian team especially as the Eagles prepare to play against the Flames of Malawi in weekend’s World Cup qualifiers.

Ideye was a shadow of himself at the FIFA Confederation Cup where he was saddled with the responsibility of scoring goals for the Eagles in the absence of injured top striker, Emmanuel Emenike.

But the forward says as long as he can help the team win games, he is under no pressure.

“I am not under any pressure to score but just to ensure that we get a good game on Saturday. I am looking forward to a great game against Malawi, and as long as the team win, I am okay with that.”

Ideye is expected to renew his very profitable partnership with Emmanuel Emenike for the Eagles as they confront Malawi on Saturday.

“It’s good to welcome Emenike back. He is a very important player for us, and we have always that he will get well soon.”
