Two chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Chief Bisi Akande, on Tuesday in Abuja met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The APC leaders were in the Presidential Villa barely some hours after the release of a letter by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, advising Buhari not to re-contest the 2019 presidential villa.
Both Tinubu and Akande, who met with the president for about an hour, declined to speak to State House correspondents after the meeting.
It would be recalled that the two chieftains were absent at last Thursday dinner hosted by Buhari for APC chieftains across the country.
APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, led the party chieftains during the dinner.
