Hallmark University awards scholarships to 10 students

In its continued resolve to raise the standard of education in the country and assist indigent students to actualise their dreams of getting world-class University education, Hallmark University located at Ijebu-Itele in Ogun State, has awarded full-fledged scholarships to five student indigenes of Ijebuland.
Another five brilliant students from other parts of the country will also benefit from the gesture.
This was disclosed in a congratulatory letter by the institution’s Vice Chancellor , Professor Segun Odunola, on behalf of the founder, Chief Leila Fowler, Board of Trustees, Governing Council, Management, staff and students to felicitate with the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, on the occasion of the celebration of this year’s Ojude Oba Festival.
In the letter made available to our correspondent, Odunola
announced that five of the scholarships endowed by Chief Fowler tagged ‘Chancellor’s Scholarship’ in honour of The Chancellor, Oba Adetona, will be awarded to deserving
sons and daughters of Ijebuland, who are exemplary in characters to any of the academic programmes.
Recipients, he said, would enjoy full scholarships throughout the period of their studies in the University.
According to him, “Hallmark University is fully equipped to provide holistic education, intellectual skills, advocacy and social responsibility. We are prepared to extend the frontiers of knowledge by creating a total man full of resourcefulness and ingenuity to be part of social engineering of our nation, Nigeria, and the world at large”.
While felicitating with the Awujale on the glamorous
Ojude Oba Festival, Odunola reinstated the total commitment of the management of the University to produce graduates who will be able to respond and solve problems in their local environment, as well as being world players in their various disciplines.
The Vice-Chancellor also prayed for long life for the Awujale, adding that his reign will continue to witness peace, progress and development in Ijebuland.
