The Diaspora and Nigeria Youth Initiative (DNYI) has commended Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara over his choice of new cabinet members in the state.
This is contained in a statement issued in Ilorin on Sunday by the National Coordinator of DNYI, Mr Ishola Maruf.
The statement described the cabinet as an assemblage of technocrats, bureaucrats, boardroom gurus and academics.
It congratulated the cabinet appointees on their successful inauguration, urging them to be steadfast and resolute in teaming up with the governor to achieve the vision and mission of turning Kwara into a better place anyone can be proud of.
“We wish to commend our amiable governor and NGF Chairman, for carefully selected cabinet members which cut across all spheres, setting standard as far as inclusivity in governance is concerned.
“The team is indeed a star studded one which we are confident would hit the ground running to drive the policies and programs of the present administration.
“The cabinet members comprises technocrats, bureaucrats, boardroom gurus, fifty per cent women and also people living with disabilities.
“It shows that Gov. AbdulRazaq has set the standard for all other states in Nigeria and beyond to follow in line with international best practices,” the statement read in part.
It however solicited the support of the public and stakeholders in order to assist the governor to take Kwara to a promise land.
The statement said DNYI is a body of Nigerian youths in Canada, North America and other countries who are doing well and making the country proud.
