FirstBank has launched its FirstMonie Merchant Solution, an innovative platform enabling merchants and businesses across Nigeria to accept digital payments with efficiency and ease.

The announcement was made in a statement on Wednesday by Olayinka Ijabiyi, Acting Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, First Bank of Nigeria Ltd.

Ijabiyi said the FirstMonie Merchant Solution addresses the rising demand for reliable digital payment systems by providing a streamlined and automated onboarding process.

Additional features include instant settlement, concession management with competitive pricing, automatic terminal registration, and a broad suite of products covering all pricing categories.

The solution offers pre-configured POS terminals and a network dashboard with real-time monitoring, dispute resolution, and complaint management for improved operational control.

These features significantly improve the merchant experience by boosting liquidity, accuracy, and efficiency, while reducing chargebacks.

Speaking at the launch, Chuma Ezirim, Group Executive, E-Business and Retail Products at FirstBank, said FirstMonie Merchant Solution would transform Nigeria’s digital payment landscape.

“With its advanced features and seamless onboarding, we are empowering businesses of every size and location to thrive within the digital economy,” he said.

Ezirim explained that the solution would enhance operational efficiency in Nigeria’s payments industry.

“This is not simply a product launch; we are simplifying processes and giving merchants improved transparency, control, and speed for daily transactions,” he said.

He added that FirstBank remains committed to creating financial ecosystems offering value, convenience, and trust to stakeholders.

Both new and existing FirstBank account holders can access the FirstMonie Merchant Solution through an easy online registration at www.firstbanknigeria.com/getyourpos

He stressed that the initiative reflects the bank’s dedication to financial inclusion by offering scalable, reliable, and user-friendly digital solutions suited to Nigeria’s evolving business needs.

Beyond enabling seamless payments, the FirstMonie Merchant Wallet Solution further reinforces FirstBank’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of merchant funds.
