Fayose’s achievements in a year has exposed hypocrisy of APC, says Ekiti PDP

Ekiti State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has indicated that the numerous achievements recorded by Governor Ayo Fayose in the last one year in office has not only exposed the hypocrisy of the Ekiti All Progressive Congress ( APC) but brought the opposition party to its knees.
The party said that the situation has rubbished the wasteful four year regime of the immediate past government of Dr Kayode Fayemi of the opposition party in the state whose unreasonable debt profile the PDP government has not allowed to weigh it down.
In a statement by the state publicity secretary of PDP, Mr Jackson Adebayo, the party recalled that one year of the APC government was characterised with formulation of jejune and catastrophic ideas that eventually collapsed the treasury before the government was booted out of office on June 21 2014.
He stressed that what was recorded by the APC government then in one year in office were killings, maiming and flagrant debasing of democratic ethos in contrast to the laudable achievements the PDP government under Ayo Fayose has recorded now.
” It is still fresh in the mind and brain how within the one year of the Fayemi administration, Chief Ade Awolumate was hacked down in Moba while one Kehinde was also killed at Ekiti East Local Government apart from other assassination atempts on many PDP leaders in the state at the same period by APC thugs.”
Adebayo said while PDP government under Fayose could be boasting today that virgin roads have been constructed within the space of one year, what could only be pointed out of the former government was the award of multi-billion Naira ornamental flower-planting which has refused to grow even within the life of the administration.
“While the Fayose government started with transparently handled projects with some completed without any cost to the state treasury within the last one year, in case of APC’s Fayemi administration, it was a period of laying foundation for fraud and avarice.”
The PDP spokesman berated the leadership of APC for their seemingly antagonisms to anything that they have failed to do to develop the state when they were in government but seeing being done by Fayose, saying they have proved to being stack illiterate when the word opposition is spoken.
“One would have expected a congratulatory message from a genuine and quintessential opposition on visible achievements of the PDP government in Ekiti State and Offer of challenge on other things that are yet to be done, it is however very interesting that the kind of opposition which the APC understands is that of stone-age when charms and arrows were being used to settle political and communal differences.”
Adebayo, however, advised the leadership of APC to go back to their trenches for proper assessment of the past governments they have handled in the state in other to understand the weight of havoc their party have wrecked.
