Japanese automotive manufacturer Toyota will on February 13 resume the work of four manufacturing lines at three factories in Japan after operations were halted in December, Kyodo news agency reported on Friday.
The company’s operations were halted due to revelations regarding the falsification of diesel engine testing results.
There is no information as to when the two lines, which remain closed, will resume production, according to the report.
In late December, Toyota announced the closure of all six manufacturing lines in Japan after Toyota Industries Corporation, which produces engines for Toyota-branded cars, falsified the results of testing.
The suspension of production was due to end on February 1 but has been extended several times since then, according to the report.
