An Educationist, Ustaz Rasheed Hashim has advised Nigerians to always say positive words and belief that tough time as a period and better days will surely come.
Hashim, a school proprietor, gave the advice on Saturday during the 10th Anniversary, Book Launch, Graduation and Prize Giving Ceremony of Al-Ikhlas Schools, Ilorin.
Speaking on the Islamic perspective of Simplifying Spending Towards Tough Time, the expert said that everything happening in human lives has been predestined.
He said that all that would happen to human being has been written, both good and bad, adding that there is a timeframe for every situation.
“Hard time has happened to generations before us, like the time of the prophets of Allah and now, the same hard time will still happen to generations after us.
“Though, tough time can be very challenging and can cause lots of problems, such as depression, broken home, divorce and lots more, but there is a solution to it,” he said.
Hashim noted that everyone has a way of contributing to the hardship in the country in different ways, due to greediness and lackadaisical attitude from the top to bottom.
“We all have a role to play no matter our profession, whether politics, public servants, traders or even house wives, by doing the right thing and speaking the truth.
“There is need to also know our needs in terms of necessity and something that could be left due to financial handicap.
“We need to economize the available resources at our disposal and know when to get loans, but most especially, there is need to always save for raining days,” he said.
He noted that many people are living a better life during tough time, due to their positivity.
Alhaji Bolaji Tahjudeen, the Proprietor of Al-Ikhlas Schools, said that many private schools are having more challenges during this period, but with their determination and strong believe, they will survive the storm.
Tahjudeen said that the removal of fuel subsidy has affected them financially, especially for students transportation from home to school and back, hoping that the parents will understand the situation.
He celebrated the outgoing students, especially the Senior Secondary School students, for their effort throughout their period in school.
“We have in the course of the last few years taught, molded, spoken, preached and quarreled with you and then made up with the set corrective measures.
“You are the same crop of students finally going into a completely new world. Please, it is a world of uncertainty, challenges, love, hate, want, achievements, failure, bitterness and of satisfaction.
“May Allah guide you as you move on. Let me remind you that you should make the best use of life lessons you learned here at Al-Ikhlas Schools. Your name once built should be your priceless jewel,” he enjoined the graduands.
