A former detective with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr Abubakar Abdu, has sued his former employer, claiming N100 million as damages.
The suit, which came up for mention before Justice Peter Lifu at the National Industrial Court, Abuja, claimed that Abdu was unlawfully and unjustifiably sacked in 2015.
Counsel to the claimant, Ayuba Abdul, prayed the court to prevail on the commission to reinstate his client to his former position and pay all entitlements owed him.
Abdul said that the N100 million damages was for the psychological trauma experienced by his client due to the alleged unlawful termination of his appointment.
Justice Lifu adjourned the case till June 22 for hearing.
