The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Nsima Ekere, has predicted “a much bigger victory for President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 presidential election than what he recorded in 2015”.
Speaking with newsmen at Eagle Square, Abuja, after the APC National Convention in which Buhari’s nomination was affirmed, Ekere said from the results of the presidential primary in the 36 states, it was clear that “Buhari will secure several more votes” from across the country than what he scored in 2015.

He pointed out that the President’s popularity rating, as reflected in his huge votes in the presidential direct primary, has tremendously increased in all the 17 Southern states from what it was three years ago, in addition to Buhari’s rock solid support in the 19 Northern states.

Ekere, who is the Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), said the President would sweep the polls in the nine Niger Delta states because of his deep interest in the development of the region.

He particularly commended Akwa Ibom people for their show of massive support for Buhari, himself and APC so far and urged them to sustain the support till the election.
