Dog unknowingly runs half marathon, finishes in 7th place

A dog owner in Alabama let her two-year-old bloodhound Ludivine outside last weekend, and the energetic pup wandered to the crowd of people running in the Elkmont Half Marathon.
Ludivine decided to join the pack of runners and completed the entire 13.1 miles in an unofficial time of 1:32:56, according to Canadian Running, which would have placed the dog in seventh.
Ludivine’s owner told Runner’s World that the dog likes to go on long walks by herself, but the owner had no idea Ludivine was gone until she received a call by someone at the finish line. Ludivine was given a medal for finishing the race.
