Rev. Tajan Moltok, the Jos Resident Pastor of Shepherd House Assembly International, has urged Christians to flee from youthful lust.

The cleric made this admonition in his sermon series titled ‘Be a fighter ‘ on Sunday in Jos.

He expressed concern that youths focus on materialism through devious ways, instead of being patient to work honestly for their wages.

“Students wants to own expensive phones they cannot afford. They want to have expensive cars of workers that have worked for 30 years.

“Money is the root of all evil, your salvation is worth everything, ensure your soul is safe, remain in the faith,” he said.

Moltok urged the congregants to be careful of their associations, as peer pressure and bad company could influence them to engage in social vices.

He urged children to honor their parents as God commanded, adding that Christians should refrain from dishonoring spiritual leaders during their trying periods.

“Be careful what you say in your suffering, trials and struggle, because you will give account of everything,” he said.

Moltok noted that the society was experiencing perilous times with a selfish generation where leaders enriched themselves instead of engaging in infrastructure development.

“Some people are richer than a state. Some government officials divert money meant to repair roads to prevent accidents to take their children abroad,” he said.

Moltok urged Christians to repent from such evil ways and turn their ways to God as the salvation of their souls were more than material possession.

He said that they could fight such evil battles through the weapon of the holy Ghost, adding that fervent prayers were required to live a holy live.
