Chelsea FC starlet, Habib Makanjuola, has been picked by the chief coach of the Golden Eaglets, Garba Manu, in a final 21-man team for the FIFA U17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates. The tournament kicks off on October 17.
The gifted Makanjuola caught the attention of all when he hit the training camp of the Eaglets and he will now be one of the players the coach will be banking on for success at the World Cup.
Morocco 2013 Africa cadet championship hotshot Isaac Success, captain Mohammed Musa and midfield star Idowu Akinjide are also on the team aiming to lift the trophy for the fourth time for Nigeria.
The Golden Eaglets were champions in 1985, 1993 and 2007 and finalists in 1987, 2001 and 2009.
Nigeria are grouped alongside champions Mexico, Sweden and Iraq in Group F of the tournament, with the Eaglets’ first game against the Mexico in Al Ain City on October 19.
