Buhari vows to deal with Biafra agitators, says ‘that boy Kanu was not born when we fought civil war’

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPoB), Nnamdi Kanu, received knocks from President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday.
Speaking at the palace of the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabiru Usman, the President did not spare him and others agitating for the Biafra Republic.
He threatened to deal ruthlessly with them.
“This administration is ready to fight again if need be to secure the unity of Nigeria. We will deal with the agitators for the creation of Biafra State. We will deal with those who want to disintegrate Nigeria.
“That boy (Nnamdi Kanu), who is calling for the separation of Nigeria, he was not born when we fought for the country’s unity during the civil war. It is quite unfortunate that over two million people were killed during the civil war, all in an effort to maintain the unity of the country. Division is a situation we cannot allow to repeat itself. I am ready to fight back to defend the country from those agitating for the creation of Biafra State, even if we will get drowned”.
Buhari, who said he had undergone discipline from his parents and teachers while growing up as a teenager coupled with the good training he got as a military officer, said that he would never condone indiscipline from people who did not mean well for the country.
On anti-corruption war, Buhari said it was not aimed at witch-hunting anyone or group of people in the country “but I want to say it publicly that those who looted public treasury would not go scot-free since the country and the citizens had been treated woefully in the last 16 years. The public treasury was looted by a few individuals to enrich themselves. The country was left with empty treasury”.
