Bandits storm hospital, rape patients, nurses

Ogun State Police Command has beefed up security at Amazing Grace Hospital, Ijebu-Ode, following the rape of some patients and nurses by hoodlums.
Freedom Online learned that the bandits stormed the hospital a few days ago, robbed the patients and raped them.
Some of the nurses were also raped in a ward.
One of the nurses escaped by the whiskers. She hid immediately she saw what the bandits were about to do to her colleagues.
After raping the victims, they also robbed nearby houses.
One Alayande Oladipo was shot by the bandits during their operation.
Some of the suspects have been arrested.
In a similar scenario, robbers, at the weekend, invaded the Abeokuta lodge of some members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), very close to the Staff Development Centre, Presidential Boulevard, carting away money, laptops, phones and other items.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incidents.
He said some of the hoodlums had been arrested and will soon be arraigned in court.
