Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), joins millions of Nigerians in celebrating His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), on the occasion of his 67th birthday.
Last night, Yilwatda had the honour of being hosted by Governor Uzodimma at a warm, elegant, and memorable celebration held at the Government House in Owerri. He led other members of the National Working Committee to the event.
The gathering, which brought together political leaders, captains of industry, traditional rulers, party stalwarts, and well-wishers, was a testament to the deep respect and admiration he commands across the country.
As a leader whose influence transcends Imo State, he said Senator Uzodimma has demonstrated vision, courage, and commitment to the ideals of progressive governance.
“Having traversed the state under his stewardship, I can attest to the remarkable transformation taking place in Imo. The impressive road network stands out as a bold signature of infrastructural renewal, one that residents, visitors, and party leaders are proudly experiencing,” he said.
Equally commendable is the new Imo Airport infrastructure, which now supports safe night-time landing, an achievement that reflects Governor Uzodimma’s insistence on excellence and modernisation.
His administration’s investment in human capital, particularly the commissioning of over 10,000 youths into information technology training, underscores his dedication to building a future-ready state and empowering a generation of innovators and solution-providers.
“Governor Uzodimma is building bridges; he is building a state; and indeed, he is contributing to the building of a stronger nation,” he said.
“On behalf of the APC National Working Committee, we present to him the flower of courage, a symbolic tribute to a leader who has added colour, value, and humanity to governance. Senator Uzodimma remains a distinguished statesman whose work in Imo continues to positively impact the entire nation.”

As the state celebrates this milestone, the chairman prayed that God rewards the solid foundation he has laid, strengthens his hands, enlarges his wisdom, and blesses him with long life to continue his noble contribution to Imo State and to Nigeria.
