Our attention has been drawn to another brewing scam by a shadowy spurious organisation which calls itself *Yoruba Self Determination Movement* YSDM.
In a notice circulated to usually exploited, but genuinely patriotic Diaspora Yoruba, the so-called, YSDM which now goes by the acronym of Oranmiyan Ten wants to resume its outworn game of deceitful extortion by asking them to pay contributions to a dubious Central account.
The Yoruba Global Alliance had been resolute in its denunciation of any self-styled and self-serving Umbrella body for Yoruba Self-determination groups which are in the excess of 200.
If there is no central body, there cannot be a central account.
We, in the Yoruba Global Alliance with our allies home and abroad, have consistently argued that the path to the attainment of our Yoruba Sovereignty must be through strategic and realistic time-tested methodology concretized by inclusiveness.
Rebel-rousing, ill-digested sloganeering and ill-advised catastrophic rallies and harvest of curses and abuses on social media platforms do not translate into people’s freedom.
Those who had been hoodwinked in the past and those about to be scammed now should ask those who have turned the quest for Yoruba Self-determination into a commercial enterprise and embarrassing bazaar about the outcome of previous donations.
Where’s the Yoruba Nation promised to be delivered in the Year 2022? And the other promised for the Year 2023?
The Yoruba Nation should not allow itself to be taken for a ride again.
Yoruba Sovereignty is a must, and its time has come but not through self-seeking shenanigans.
