Ayaba Omowunmi Memunat Adeyemi, Omoh 1, has celebrated her birthday with praises and adorations to the Almighty God for sparing her life from a ghastly auto crash along Oyo/Ogbomoso road, barely a year ago.
The amiable Ayaba was in critical condition at the University College Hospital [UCH], Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on her birthday, the 11th of May last year, as a result of injuries sustained from the accident.
Through divine intervention, financial and moral commitment of the husband, Iku Baba Yeye and Olori gbogbo Oba Ile Yoruba, the senior Ayaba,  Alhaja  Ramat Adedayo, a ka Iya Ile koto, as well as sense of devotion of top level medical experts, Ayaba Memunat was resuscitated.
It happened on May 6 last year when Ayaba Memunat and a princess, Adeteju, were travelling in the morning to Ibadan from the palace in an Honda pilot vehicle.
At the Akinyele point along the road, the driver of a private vehicle who was coming behind in high speed wanted to avoid a pothole but lost control, and in the process rammed into the Honda pilot vehicle.
The Honda vehicle somersaulted three times with the Ayaba, PrincessAdeteju and the driver, Ogbori, sustaining injuries.
Motorists and other road users immediately came to the rescue of the royal victims and were taken to a private hospital in Oyo town.
At the hospital, the victims were unconscious, especially Ayaba Memunat, who was bleeding profusely through the nose.
They were later referred to the UCH, where the accident victims were given intensive medical care.
Confirming the accident, Ayaba Memunat said: “Gratitude bestows reverence, allowing us to encounter everyday epiphanies, those transcendent moments of awe that change, forever, how we experience life and the world’’.
Ayaba Memunat, a business administration graduate from the Ibadan Polytechnic, who was close to the tears while recounting the accident, appreciated God for His mercy, her husband, the Alaafin who he referred to as ‘’loving, caring and devoted’’, senior Ayaba Ramat Adedayo, and all those who contributed towards her quick recovery.
