Akeredolu to succeed Mimiko Feb 2017; APC 244,842, PDP 150,380, AD 126,889, SDP 10,149

Akeredolu  to succeed Mimiko Feb 2017; APC 244,842, PDP 150,380, AD 126,889, SDP 10,149

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), was, on Sunday, declared the winner of the Ondo State election.
He defeated the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alliance for Democracy (AD) and Social Democratic Party (SDP), Mr. Eyitayo Jegede (SAN), Chief Olusola Oke and Dr. Olu Agunloye.
The Returning Officer for the November 26 election and Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ambali, announced the result in Akure.
Of the 18 local governments in the Sunshine State, Akeredolu won 14, Jegede won in two and Oke got the remaining two. Agunloye did not win any council.
