Adekunle Gold thrills fans with live show at Wole Soyinka Centre

Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold on Friday night delivered a captivating live performance that lit up the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts, drawing music lovers for an evening of rich sounds and artistry.
The concert attracted a large audience, with fans trooping to the iconic cultural centre to witness an intimate yet powerful showcase by the award-winning artiste, which kept attendees engaged throughout the night.
The live performance celebrated music, culture and creative expression, offering attendees an immersive experience as Adekunle Gold combined live instrumentation with heartfelt vocals for an unforgettable show.

The night was further elevated by a surprise appearance from renowned rapper and music executive, Olamide, who formally introduced Adekunle Gold to the audience, drawing roaring applause from fans.

Olamide commended Adekunle Gold for his consistency, artistry and contribution to the Nigerian music scene, describing him as one of the country’s most refined performers, heightening anticipation in the hall.

When Adekunle Gold, fondly known as AG Baby, took the stage, he was met with thunderous applause, performing several hit songs that had fans singing and moving along throughout the night.

The singer thrilled fans with selections from his extensive discography, delivering emotional renditions of love-themed and reflective songs, complemented by a strong stage presence and smooth choreography.

Adekunle Gold also engaged with the audience, sharing personal stories behind some songs, creating a warm and intimate connection that made the performance more meaningful for fans.

Attendees expressed excitement at witnessing the live performance.

Music enthusiast Adebayo Olatunji described it as “soothing and powerful,” adding that the setting made the concert feel even more special and personal.

Funke Adeyemi, who attended with colleagues, called the show memorable, noting, “The music felt real and emotional. Hearing the songs live gave them a deeper meaning.”

Sadiq Bello described the concert as inspiring, saying, “The combination of culture, live music, and the venue created a beautiful experience. It was truly uplifting for everyone in attendance.”

Kemi Lawal hailed the organisers for hosting the event at a cultural centre, noting, “The Wole Soyinka Centre was a perfect location. It blended art, music, and culture beautifully”.
