A former Head Coach, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Mutiu Adepoju on Thursday described the club’s current position on the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) log as “worrisome’’.

The club is currently seating on the 18th position on the table, with 17 goals from 18 matches so far played

The former Super Eagles defender, who spoke in Lagos, urged the club to look inwards and return the club to its winning ways.

“The current position of 3SC is disturbing. It’s so unfortunate, where they have found themselves, I know there are times like this in football, but still it’s worrisome.

“I strongly believe that the club still has what it takes to return to its winning ways, the players and coaches have a lot of work to do, I know they are trying.

“But they can do more; they have come out of more difficult situation. They went on relegation and came out of it and so I know they will rise above this again.

“With the support of the management and fans, I believe they can return to winning ways,’’ the coach said.
