Chukwuma Soludo has officially taken the oath of office for a second term as Governor of Anambra State.

The swearing-in ceremony took place on Tuesday at Ekwueme Square in Awka, where the oath was administered by the state’s Chief Judge, Onochie Anyachebelu.

Earlier, the Deputy Governor, Onyekachi Ibezim, was also sworn in, paving the way for Soludo’s formal inauguration shortly before noon.

The event attracted a large crowd of supporters, political leaders, and dignitaries from across Nigeria, reflecting the significance of the occasion.

Among top attendees were Kashim Shettima, Olusegun Obasanjo, and Goodluck Jonathan, who joined the governor at the venue amid enthusiastic cheers from the crowd.

Soludo, dressed in a distinctive traditional outfit, received a warm reception as he arrived at the ceremony.

Also present were prominent national figures including Emeka Anyaoku, the Obi of Onitsha, Nnaemeka Achebe, and former Anambra governor Chris Ngige.

Other dignitaries in attendance included Virginia Etiaba, Nigeria’s first female governor, and the Ooni of Ife, Enitan Ogunwusi, alongside several deputy governors, lawmakers, traditional rulers, and religious leaders.

Members and leaders of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) were also present, along with other key stakeholders in the political landscape.

The ceremony marked the beginning of Soludo’s second term in office, as he continues his leadership in Anambra State.
