The Bishop of Kwara Diocese, Anglican Communion, Rt. Revd Sunday Adewole, has admonished Nigerians to forget about the past and move on with their lives in positive direction.
Adewole gave the advice in his New Year message at the Saints Barnabas Cathedral in Ilorin on Sunday.
“Stop nursing your failure, drop the failure where you fail, move on, forget about yesterday’s failure,” he counseled.
Adewole, who spoke on the theme “Following God’s leading”, stressed the need to Increase fellowship with God.
“Cultivate the habit of praying every morning and night, cultivate the habit of thanking God for everything, show mercy to people that are in distress as many as you can without asking, you need to appreciate God for everything.
“Don’t be lazy. God will bless the work of your hand, don’t put the horse before the cat, find something doing. Take step, move.
“God has not made a man to be destitute, but circumstances lead man to that,” he said.
The clergyman also expressed optimism that the year would be a year of total freedom and breakthrough.
